Hardel Mutual Plywood Corporation was organized in 1953 as a worker-owned softwood plywood mill. Starting from a modest beginning the plant has been in continuous operation since that time. Annual sales have increased from 35 million to 170 million square feet (3/8 basis)
Hardel is a long-term member of the American Plywood Association and operates under the APA continuous quality supervision program. It was the first plywood plant to incorporate a certified inspector on the management team.
